        STRATEGIC PLAN 2024-2027









        BACKGROUND
        HCF was founded in 2000 to make North Simcoe a better place to live, work and play through philanthropy.
        The Foundation serves Midland, Penetanguishene, Townships of Tiny, Tay Georgian Bay, Christian Island, and
        the surrounding area, representing a community of over 50,000 residents located in the Georgian Bay in
        Simcoe County.

        The economy features a mix of agriculture, health care, and tourism and sees an increase in population due to
        seasonal residents and visitors. A snapshot of community wellness, called Vital Signs , was first published in

        2016 and again in 2023. The Foundation will continue to engage partners in collaborating toward solutions to the
        needs identified in Vital Signs .

        Today, the Foundation manages $3.5 million in various funds and has granted more than $3.5 million since its
        inception.

                      funds, to more effectively support operations and
                      grant making to impact community needs.
