Sistema Huronia

The mission of Sistema Huronia is to build and sustain an intensive social program that provides free, ensemble-based music lessons to inspire children to realize their full potential as students, musicians and citizens.  The Cedar Ridge Pops organizations has raised and donated around one million dollars to local charities and with the help of the Cedar Ridge Pops endowment fund at the Huronia Community Foundation they will be able to continue to support charities forever!  Supporting Sistema is a natural fit for Cedar Ridge Pops as their annual event was a classical music festival.  The $2,324 Grant is for new music stands, instruments, instrument repairs and other musical equipment.

Along with the kids are Kathy Larkins, Huronia Community Foundation; Garry Morehouse, Sistema Huronia; Janice Haffey, Cedar Ridge Pops; Father John Vella, Sistema Huronia and Sistema’s music teacher, Blaine Scott.
