The Bill Barnett GBDSS Scholarship Fund

Established in honour of Bill Barnett who was Head of Guidance at Midland Secondary School, Bill’s fund is awarded to a Georgian Bay District Secondary School graduate who is pursuing post-secondary education. As an advocate for students, their learning and their success, Bill demonstrated caring, understanding and a desire to help others. Successful fund recipients demonstrate these same qualities along with contributing to the extra-curricular life in GBDSS. Each year up to two students will receive funds from the Bill Barnett Family Fund to support their education and recognize their positive contribution in the school and community.
