Iris Catherine Stotesbury Fund

Iris Catherine Stotesbury was a first generation Canadian of Scots parents. Born in Ottawa she spent her growing years there and in Belleville Ontario. Iris Catherine had lost both parents by the age of sixteen. Her strong spirit lead her to a career at the Ottawa hospital as an administrative assistant to the CFO.  A position she held until her retirement in 1995. Her son recalls there was always a dog in the house, most often a poodle and at least one cat. Iris Catherine Stotesbury moved to Midland in 1995 where she became church secretary and head of the CGIT. Described as, always a woman of service, she passed away at age seventy eight. An endowment was established by the Stotesbury family to honour Iris, her kind spirit and love for animals.
